Audience, benefits & format:
The course is destined to young professionals eager to build a solid knowledge base or to experienced professionals keen on structuring their experiential know-how into a consistent knowledge framework. The course is delivered on a blended format with a total of 80 guided learning hours (e.g. split into 5 days of classroom training and 10 days of on-the-job application).
Pre-requisites:
College graduate, IELTS-3.5, TOEIC-400, TOEFL-CBT-120 or BULATS-40, working in a Supply Chain job.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, the delegates will be able to:
Define the main supply chain (SC) concepts and their relative importance.
Recognize the inter-dependencies of supply chain roles & their contribution to the collective performance
Session Objectives:
1. Identify correctly the generic supply chain capabilities in a consistent and comprehensive framework.
2. Identify the inter-dependencies of the various supply chain roles out of the practical workshop.
3. Define the concepts related to purchasing and their relation with other supply chain capabilities.
4.Define the concepts related to logistics and their relation with other supply chain capabilities.
5.Define the concepts related to operations and their relation with other supply chain capabilities.
6.Define the concepts related to SC integration and their relation with other supply chain capabilities
7.Apply the concepts to an integrative case study in groups in a workshop and/or a simulation.
8.Apply the concepts to the workplace with on-the-job applications assigned in accord with
managers.
Assessment & award:
Knowledge acquisition is assessed using an on-line assessment tool. Successful completion leads
to the “SCF Level 2 Supply Chain Award” by “The Supply Chain Foundation (SCF)”.
Further education:
This award can be further combined with other awards to lead to the “SCF Diploma in
Supply Chain”.
