The course is destined to executives seeking a full strategic view on modern supply chain matters. The course is delivered on a blended format with a total of 16 guided learning hours (e.g. one day of formal tutor-led training followed by two days on the job application).
Pre-requisites:
University graduate, English IELTS-3.5, TOEIC-400, working as an Executive or Officer.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, the delegates will be able to:
Define the main supply chain (SC) concepts and their relative importance
Recognize the inter-dependencies of supply chain roles & their contribution to collective performance
Session Objectives:
1. Understand the strategic importance of supply chain and how it links to performance
2. Identify correctly the generic supply chain capabilities in a consistent and comprehensive framework
3. Identify the inter-dependencies of the various supply chain roles out of the practical workshop
4. Define the concepts related to purchasing and their relation with other supply chain capabilities
5. Define the concepts related to logistics and their relation with other supply chain capabilities
6. Define the concepts related to operations and their relation with other supply chain capabilities
7. Define the concepts related to SC integration and their relation with other supply chain capabilities
8. Apply the concepts to an integrative case study and to the job situation
9. Optional: visit of a company supply chain operations, meeting supply chain executives (extra time)
Assessment & award:
The optional knowledge recognition would be assessed individually post-course and would lead
to relevant awards by the “The Supply Chain Foundation” (SCF)”.
Further qualifications:
This award can be combined with other awards to get the “SCF Diploma in Supply Chain” or
the “SCF Diploma in Supply Chain Management”.
